Cookie policy

Cookies are small files that a site keeps in a visitor's browser, either to make the site work properly or to measure how it is used.

Julho Constante Unipessoal LDA, tax number (NIF) 519555686, is the controller of the browsing data described in this policy.

Two files are loaded on every page of this site, with or without permission: Google Tag Manager, served by Google, and the campaign measurement script of the customer service system, served by Biomo from api.biomo.com.br. Loading each one is a request to the server of whoever serves it, and in that request that server sees the IP address, the browser and the referring page of the visitor — as with any file served by a third party.

Without permission, neither of those files measures anything, no cookie is written and nothing is stored in the browser: the four Google Consent Mode v2 signals are set to "denied" before any tag fires, and they stay that way for as long as permission is not given. The Biomo script reads those same signals and does nothing while they are denied.

On the first visit a notice appears at the bottom of the page, with two buttons: "Accept" and "Decline". "Accept" authorises, together, the two purposes described below: measuring how the site is used and measuring the results of the advertising campaigns. Declining does not block access to any page or to any feature of the site, including the quote form and WhatsApp, and keeps both purposes denied.

The choice made in that notice is kept in the browser itself, in local storage, under the key litoral-consentimento. It is not a cookie and it travels in no request to any server: it only stops the notice from appearing again on every page.

That choice can be changed at any time with the "Change consent" button at the end of this page, which deletes the stored key and brings the notice back. Clearing this site's data in the browser has the same effect.

Measuring how the site is used. Once permission is given, the Google Tag Manager tags measure the pages visited and the clicks, and send that measurement to Google Analytics 4. The cookies for this measurement are written by Google, have names beginning with _ga and last for the period Google sets by default — up to two years for the _ga cookie. The data collected stays in the Google Analytics property of Julho Constante Unipessoal LDA for the retention period set by Google by default.

Measuring campaign results in Google Ads. Anyone who reaches this site from a Julho Constante Unipessoal LDA ad on Google carries a click identifier in the address. Once permission is given, Google keeps that identifier in a cookie with a name beginning with _gcl, which lasts up to 90 days, and the Google Tag Manager tags tell Google Ads when someone opens WhatsApp or sends the quote form, so that Julho Constante Unipessoal LDA knows which ads bring in enquiries.

Measuring campaign results in the customer service system. Once permission is given, the Biomo script — Biomo being the agency that runs the campaigns and the customer service system (CRM) of Julho Constante Unipessoal LDA — reads the ad click identifiers in the page address (gclid, gbraid, wbraid and fbclid) and the campaign parameters (utm_), and sends them to the CRM of Julho Constante Unipessoal LDA, together with the page visited and the referring page. The CRM replies with a short reference number, which is kept in the browser's local storage under the key biomo_ref for 90 days and is added to the WhatsApp message opened from the site, in the form "(ref: 123456)".

When a WhatsApp conversation arrives with that reference number, the CRM links it to the ad click. If the enquiry moves forward — qualified lead, quote sent or sale completed — the CRM reports that step to the Google Ads account of Julho Constante Unipessoal LDA with the click identifier, the date and, for a sale, the value. No name, phone number, e-mail or conversation content is included in that report.

Visits that are never linked to a conversation are deleted from the CRM after 90 days. When there is a link, the click data becomes part of that contact's record and follows the retention period described in the privacy policy. Biomo processes this data on behalf of Julho Constante Unipessoal LDA, as a processor, and the CRM runs on servers located in Brazil.

This site has no remarketing or personalised advertising tags, does not use the Meta pixel and does not share browsing data with social networks. Google and Biomo are the only third parties with access to browsing data from this site.

The legal basis for this processing is consent, under Article 6(1)(a) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Consent can be withdrawn at any time with the "Change consent" button at the end of this page, without affecting the lawfulness of the processing carried out before it was withdrawn. When it is withdrawn, the reference number stored in the browser is deleted and is no longer added to WhatsApp messages.

The data an enquiring business sends through the quote form is a different processing operation, with a different legal basis and a different retention period, described in the privacy policy.
